I am new to MD (2010r2 version). Using XP and Quicken 2009, thinking of getting a MAC and need a replacement for Quicken. I finally downloaded all my accounts from Quicken (including 3 investment accuonts from Vanguard - very painful). For some reason, when I try to open an account, MD opens a new window - right now I have two "Roth IRA" windows showing in the taskbar. When I close one, the whole program closes. Why is this happening and how to fix it?

Are you by any chance double-clicking on an account name in the side-bar? Don't do that. For some reason, it both opens the account in the main window, and also creates a new window for the account. Very confusing. Single click is all it takes for the side-bar, or you can use the account selector pull-down list at the top, or open it from your home page.

Thanks for the tip. That may be it, I'll single click from now on. Kind of touchy, this program, isn't it?
