Problems connecting to DCU Digital Federal Credit Union

I was using Moneydance+. Until a couple of days ago, DCU showed up when I attempted to connect with an error message. I could not download any data. Today I tried again. DCU did not even show in the list.

    Hi Pat,

    We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.

    You are correct, as unfortunately it seems that Digital Federal Credit Union is not supported via Plaid. It doesn't appear among the available banks on Plaid's website.

    The best way to get your transactions into Moneydance is to use a web browser to download files from your bank's web site.

    We'd recommend you download using the OFX or QFX file format if available. If not, use the QIF file format. (These files are sometimes referred to as Quicken or MS Money files). You can import the files to Moneydance using File --> Import.
    The steps for manually importing your data are outlined in this article from the Knowledge Base.

    DCU sent out an email indicating it had made changes to improve direct connect with Quicken, Acorns etc. Can you verify if Moneydance can now direct connect or not? I want to switch from Quicken but am not willing to manually down load the files every time I use the program.

    all come up blank when attempting to use Plaid through moneydance.

    digital federal credit union has the following on 6/14/2022

    It's been a frustrating three months plus since they "upgraded" their
    systems. They are paying the price in reduced business from me, not that
    that affects them much.

    continuing to work closely with Plaid and are very close to having the
    integration completed.

    I'm sure any Moneydance user at DCU is quite vocal. I know I am. But I
    doubt there are a lot of us so DCU's priorities probably lie with other
    issues. DCU has been responsive to some of my criticism of their new
    services. The Plaid issue is probably frustrating for them as well.
    Personally, I doubt anyone is sitting on their hands.

    So no, not yet. Other DCU tweets seem to imply the hangup is on the plaid
    side. The whole accurate story would make an interesting b2b case study.

    I have confirmed that Digital Federal Credit Union is not currently supported. Our integrations team is aware of this issue, and is currently evaluating the technical feasibility and impact of creating an integration. We'll follow up here if and when we add support for this institution.

    Hi Pat,

    This is to confirm that Plaid are now supporting DCU. So, if you haven't already, we would recommend upgrading to the latest stable version and recreating the connection.

    Moneydance 2022.5 (4091) is available to download from this page. This is a free upgrade for you!

    You should remove or choose to overwrite the older version and restart Moneydance!

    Finally, navigate to Online->Set up Moneydance+ and where it reads "Connected" on the right, click and select disconnect in the popup. Then try to recreate the connection as outlined in this article of the Knowledge Base called Connect Accounts with Moneydance+.

    This can be closed. DCU's transactions through Plaid are now correct in every aspect.
