Issue restoring from a backup
Running v.2022.3(4066) on iOS 11.6.5
I use two files: My Money_2022-02-15 2 and Company (it had a similar time detail added to the file name. I went to the Documents folder and renamed the Company by deleting the time stamp it had introduce. I renamed back to Company.
I have tried opening this file by double clicking in Finder and it opens the wrong file - My Money_2022-02-15 2.
I then went to the backup folder and have tried to use this by double, clicking, by File>Restore and Open Other - in all instances it just opens the My Money file.
For the first time in 10 years I don't have Time Machine running!
I can find no sign of the file in my Dropbox
Have I lost the Company file forever - which will be a major problem for me.
I hope someone can help please

Do you use sync?
Anyway, do you have MD auto backups on?
If so, do you have any company*.moneydancearchive files?

Hello Stuart,
Yes, I use sync for the Money file but not for the Company one (I canât make it work).
Yes, I have MD auto backups â it is the file I called âbackup folderâ when I was trying to restore from it (yes it is called.moneydancearchive. I have tried to open it by double clicking, File>Restore and also Open Other. In all instances, the wrong data file is opened being My Money. I have tried using a two day old file and a three day old one and the same thing happens.
Many thanks for the prompt response.
Mark

Ah. Upgrade to preview 4068 and try again
It may not be opening the wrong file!! There is a bug which means double click crashes and nothing actually happens!!
