Hi Don,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.
Firstly, a 'Parent Account' can house one or more 'Child Accounts'.
The 'Base Account' contains ALL of your accounts.
You can change the 'Parent Account' from the account's settings tab.
From the Moneydance menu bar, you can navigate to Account- > Edit Account. (while viewing the account in question).
To change the 'Base Account', you'll need to rename the data file, as outlined in this article of the Knowledge base.
