moneydance wont display in foreground

Hello
Im having trouble with installing moneydance on windows 10
Normally I use the Linux version with no issues.
I have tried version 2021 and 2022 with the same issue.
When I try to run the software it loads in the background,, I can see the icon in the taskbar and the app running in task manager.
however the app cannot be brought to the foreground where one can use it. .
Any suggestions?

You can use Command ⌘ instead of Control ^ on Mac

Close MD. Rename config.dict file. Launch md. See if that works.
