Error loading data
When I attempted to restore a backup from 2020 I got the following message:
An unexpected error occurred java.io.IOException: javax.crypto.illegalBlocksizedException: Input length must be multiple of 16 when decrypting with padded cipher.

I posted an issue under the subject Error loading data at 9:30 this
morning. I received an acknowledgement email from [email blocked]
at 9:32. I have received nothing in reply to my query.
Do I need to resend my query?

This normally indicates corruption.
What version/build of MD?
How are you restoring the backup?
Why do you need to restore?
Can you find the errlog.txt file and post here?
(not support, just a fellow user)

MD version is 2022.2(4060)
I'm restoring by using the Restore From Backup option under File
I need to restore because of a major power outage that trashed my system
so badly that it is taking months to get everything restored.
Errlog.txt is attached.
Is it possible that the 2022 version of MD can't restore a backup made
by a previous version in 2020?

Restoring 2020 by 2022 is no problem...
Unfortunately the log is no good as the error was captured to screen....
With MD closed.... Try:
Moving the .moneydancearchive file to a new and empty folder
Unzip the file... Right click, open with, an unzip tool...
Now double-click the restored dataset... see what happens...
Do you get an updated errlog.txt file?
