I am using MS Defender.

KEN BROOMFIELDtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/541106922022-05-03T12:47:23Z2022-05-03T12:47:23ZCannot Manage Extensions

Hi Hi Kenneth,
I get the same issue.. Any recently signed java extension is triggering what looks like a false virus alert.. The virus is "Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml". I find it hard to believe there is a virus. If I manually un-quarantine the file, rename to zip, unzip, virus scan the contents, it's clean.

You can work around as follows:
Go to Defender settings.... Manage virus settings... Exceptions.. Add and add the process "Moneydance.exe"

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/541106922022-05-03T16:31:08Z2022-05-03T16:31:09ZCannot Manage Extensions

From: Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tender+dfa3b5ce47@tenderapp.com
I think the MD program should be amended as I am not happy altering the security settings.

KEN BROOMFIELDtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/541106922022-05-03T16:35:55Z2022-05-03T16:35:55ZCannot Manage Extensions

I would not alter any security settings in order to allow an extension to load. If the extension won't load then moneydance possibly isn't able to verify the signature of the code.

If a virus has infected a downloaded extension file then it's a bad idea to ignore those errors and allow-list moneydance to load it.

Would someone who is getting that error be able to upload the file mentioned in the virus warnings to the following dropbox upload form?

It seems that any recently signed java extension is triggering what looks like a false virus alert. The virus is "Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml". According to our support team they have manually un-quarantined the file, renamed to zip, unzip, virus scanned the contents The result is reassuring, the file it's clean!

You can work around as follows:
Go to Defender settings->Manage virus settings-> Exceptions->Add and add the process "Moneydance.exe".
