when doing download of the 3 accounts i rec an error msg

I am using a PC on windows and in the process of connecting Moneydance thru PLAID it indicated all my soctiabank accounts were connected including my financial asset accounts plus Visa account

I then go to Moneydance online and open it and see that there are three that accounts that i named new , saving and checquing i do not see the visa nor the investmen t accounts that were listed as all connected in the connection process

I proceed anyway with the 3 accounts that are named and use the DOWNLOAD option on the Moneydance PC online for each of the 3 accounts and receive an error for each one

the error msg refers to The account youve connected is being scanned and will be ready for download shortly but do see error tyoe Item Error Product not ready
The request product is not yet ready please provide a webhook or try the request again later

Ok i like it when a new unknown word such as webhook comes up with no explanation as to what that actually is in real life

The other issue is that i do want to use Moneydance for all my accounts including the Visa account so what gives there it seems that i can only have 3 accounts and if that is the case i want a refund as i just came over from Quicken to you guys at Moneydance and so far find that its not a friendly world at Moneydance it doesn't get me in the mood for dancing to say the least

so lets get the 2 issues resolved and if not then REFUND PLEASE and confirm that has been done

    Hi Michael,

    We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.

    Upgrading to the latest preview version should hopefully fix the problem for you.
    Moneydance 2022.4 (4078) is now available to download from this page. You should remove or choose to overwrite the older version to prevent confusion.

    Finally, navigate to Online menu->Moneydance+ Set up and where it reads "Connected" on the right, click and select disconnect in the popup. Then try to recreate the connection as outlined in this article of the Knowledge Base called Connect Accounts with Moneydance+.

    I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

    Thank you Maddy that did work however I had all transaction downloaded from the
    beginning and all of them are categorized as ATM withdrawal which is certainly
    not the case

     

    Now should I go back in the sense of killing the current version and download
    the new version once again so that I can get to the point where it would ask
    from what point I want to download the bank transactions and I would use the
    current month instead from the very beginning ?

     

    In other words I want to start with only the banks  current months transactions
    being loaded into the moneydance spreadsheet that I look at and work from there
    going forward as I will need to create new categories and change only those of
    the current month and by the way if I click on a transaction to change the
    category I do not have an option to do so and anyway being that I downloaded
    from the very beginning there are just too many transactions to change
    categories if I could  

     

    Also one of my 3 bank accounts in Moneydance I left as New Account and don’t see
    any option where I can actually rename the account from New Account to what I
    really want it to be named

    Firstly, after downloading your data, you should go through the confirmation process, as outlined here.
    To begin the confirmation process, you should select the first transaction in the register with a 'blue dot'. A panel will appear on the right of your screen which shows the 'Current Transaction' details. You should amend the category within this panel, then select 'Confirm'.

    You'll see the solid blue dot change to a blue circle. Moneydance will then move to the next unconfirmed transaction in the register.

    As you go through this process it will become quicker and easier. Moneydance will begin to recognize the information you have previously confirmed, and start to suggest the correct categories within 'Similar Payees' in the panel on the right.

    The next time you download from the bank many of the correct categories will automatically be assigned, and this will improve as you confirm more transactions.


    Secondly, if you would prefer creating a new data file, you should navigate to File->New->Create New File. Please note: by doing so you would have to recreate your accounts anew.

    On the other hand, if you would prefer deleting all the transactions you have downloaded so far, you can highlight the relevant transactions in the register, click on the first transaction, hold down SHIFT, then click on the last transaction, this will select multiple transactions, at once.
    Once the desired transactions are highlighted, right-click on any of them and from the resulting context menu, select Delete.

    Then, select the Online->Setup Moneydance+ menu again, then click on an account (not the bank name) in the right column you should see a popup menu. If you select the Reset Sync Date entry, Moneydance will prompt you upon the next download to select how far back in time you'd like it to request transactions. How far back the transactions actually go is dependent upon the bank and/or their service provider, but Moneydance will request whatever date you specify.

    Finally, in order to rename an account, you should select it from the left Side Bar first, then navigate to Account->Edit Account from the header.

    there are just way to many to go through one by one

    So the question is

    Much appreciated for you great support

     

    I now have the accounts created and connected with the starting balances of
      today having to delete transactions from May 1st 2022 as todays date was not
    an option on the download    

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Tomorrow
    there will be bank updates will moneydance pick those up automatically with no
    input from my or will I need to use the option  Accounts and Download  ? I
    assume moneydance will require some sort of of input to go get the latest from
    my bank and I assume in order to get that done I will have to use options
    Accouts and Download for moneydance to do that     

     

    From experience so far   I am sure tomorrows date wont be an option using
    Accounts  and Download in the list as todays date isn’t  there as a choice

     

    All my accounts match balance wise with the banks balances because when setting
    up the moneydance accounts I indicated the starting balances so tomorrow I
    naturally expect moneysense and the banks balance to reflect the same numbers 
    including any new transactions  

     

    One other thing I often transfer money from a savings account to pay the visa
    account , both the savings and visa accounts are    in moneydance both balances
    (moneydance and banks)  show the same correct numbers  so how do I handle the
    transfer that pays the visa bill without screwing up both the moneydance
    balances with respect to those at the banks ?

    When I look at the bank for such an transaction is I see the debit  or payment
    leave the saving account and see the visa account being credited   in the same
    amount ... that is what I want to see in the world of moneydance simple and
    straight forward

     

    All I want is that moneydance  and the banks balances match so that I can use
    moneydance   to budget with  if that doesn’t happen then i wont use moneydance

     

    The reason why I left Quicken was that the bank  balances that showed up on the
    quicken display showed correctly however from a quicken prospective everywhere
       else the quicken display showed in US cash and quicken advised me they had an
    ongoing issue with that and it has been months so I left quicken to go to you
    guys at moneydance

    If I encounter bank and moneydance balance not insync  I will drop moneydance
    and try the next one that being MINT

    1) For future downloads, in the Set Up Moneydance+ window, you'll need to click on the "None" label in order to select which account in Moneydance corresponds to the account names and numbers on the left side of the window. After doing that and selecting the Moneydance account from the menu, using the ⌘D keyboard shortcut or clicking the Download button when the account is selected will cause Moneydance to download the transactions for that account.

    2) For Transfers between Accounts, please refer to this article of the Knowledge Base.

    3) It might useful referring you to this article about Credit Card Accounts.

    Finally, the steps for reconciling your accounts are outlined in this article.
