MD says license invalid after reinstall??

Hello,

I had a hard drive crash on my desktop yesterday and reinstalled MD on my laptop and restored my data from a backup. When I enter my license MD says it is invalid. I just recently upgraded to the 2022 version, so my license was current at that point (I qualified for the free upgrade). I have posted a private message regarding this issue and have heard nothing in almost 24 hours. I'm in a jam here and need some help.

In the past response times have been very good - within a few hours. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    I think the first thing would be to validate that your license really should work on Moneydance 2022.

    Your license is in two parts. The section to the left of the hyphen tells us the generation, if you just post this part it will not tell us your key but it will allow us to identify the generation.

    2022 was running on my desktop. I was prompted to upgrade and did the “check license” operation to see if I qualified for a free upgrade -and I did qualify. Perhaps there was an update to the 2022 version since then which invalidated my license. I’m also trying to license a new download, so perhaps that’s the problem.

    I'm a fellow user.

    That is a Moneydance 2019 license key, hence it is valid for Moneydance versions 2019, 2020 & 2021 (Moneydance 2019 and 2020 are considered to be one generation of the software hence the free upgrade is to Moneydance 2021).

    If you then install Moneydance 2022 the software would be in trial mode and allow you to enter up to 100 new transactions before it would allow no more.
