Trying to split a transaction keeps freezing MoneyDance
Hello Support
I have recently started using Moneydance as a replacement for Reckon Personal Plus. I am loving the interface so far. By the Laptop way, I am running Moneydance on a Lenovo X1 Yoga (gen.4) running Windows 11.
I have tried to create a slit transaction but every time I hit either CNTL L or the Split option in the category field, the whole app locks up and my only option is to use Task Manager to shut it down. Is this a known issue?
Cheers, John

I'm a fellow user.
It sounds like the split transaction dialog window is being rendered off the visible window space.
If this is the case four solutions are available:
The first two approaches uses standard Windows methods to move a window onscreen.
1. The traditional approach to moving a window is as follows. Use the Key combination <Alt>-<spacebar> followed by the M key to get access to the resize and move options and to invoke the Move function then use the arrow keys to move the window back onto the visible screen.
2. Alternatively, if you're using Windows 7 or later, you can try holding down the <Windows> and <Shift> keys, then tap the <left-arrow> or <right-arrow> key, which should move the missing window onto your current monitor.
If all else fails you can try the third approach.
3. Rename the config.dict file that exists in the .Moneydance folder under your login directory. doing this removes all preferences including the remembered positions, it will be as if Moneydance has just been installed, so you need to open your Data Set as well as re-enter your license key.
4. If you are running at least MD2021.1 then you can install the Toolbox extension, set advanced mode, then use the reset window positions option. This option will keep your other preferences.

In addition, the latest Toolbox will tell you at launch if you have this issue. Enable Update mode, then click fix invalid window locations button....
