Need to Reset Computer
Hi,
I have Moneydance version 2017 and need to reset my computer. I'm thinking I should backup my files but not sure how to, also do I need to somehow make a copy of the software? Or would I download from your website?

Hello Gabriel,
In general, it's usually a better idea to just reinstall software than trying to save it (although this varies depending on your operating system). You can redownload Moneydance 2017 from https://infinitekind.com/download_2017 and reregsiter it with your existing license key.
To backup your files in that version, you'll want to make a copy of your Moneydance data file(s). If you're not sure where you have been saving your data, it's likely still in the default file location, described at: https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/file-locations-and-changes/de...
If it doesn't appear to be there, another option is to go to Help -> Console Window from the Moneydance menu bar. Look down a few lines in the output, and the line that starts with "loading dataset:" will tell you the location of the data file you have opened.
When you've restored your system and copied your data file back over, use the open other option from the Moneydance welcome screen or the menu bar (File -> Open -> Open Other) to select your yourfilename.moneydance data set.
