Unable to decrypt Moneydance 2011 file with 2022

I thought I would give Moneydance 2022 a try. I am currently using Moneydance 2011. When attempting to open my existing Moneydance 2011 file, I am prompted for the password to decrypt the file. The window shakes and clears the prompt. I have tried multiple times, restarted the app, restarted the computer, double-checked the caps lock, and confirmed that the file can still be decrypted successfully with Moneydance 2011.

Are there any known issues with decrypting/opening older Moneydance files? Any pointers on how to get past this first hurdle?

Thank you for your help.

    I'm a fellow user.

I've done some testing and the latest version of Moneydance will not import password protected files earlier than Moneydance 2015.

If you remove the password in MD 2011 you should then be able to import the file or you can install Moneydance 2021 import the file then upgrade to 2022.
