Export of transactions to spreadsheet
There does not seem an obvious way to export bank transactions for further analysis. It can be done via transaction filter but the individual items include the currency ident eg "£" which renders the data useless
There must be a way so can anyone tell me how to do it?

Install / run extract_data extension.. Option: Extract Account Registers.. This will export to csv in a great format for Excel...

Personally I think it is a notable oversight that the save option in reports does not include a "Spreadsheet" CSV Option that removes currency indicators and thousand separators on the saved data.

I thought you could save any report to either CSV or Spreadsheet CSV format.

You can but the "Excel" CSV export just changes the character set it does not remove any formatting. and CSV just writes a CSV file as is.
