Incorrect account balances/inserting strange transactions
Problem 1: haven't been able to successfully download/sync for years so have been doing balancing manually.
Problem 2: in the past few weeks, have been having strange and huge balancing issues. We make manual entries to offset the erroneous entries only to have more injected next time we open MoneyDance.
To overcome Problem 2, I created a new account this morning. Within a few minutes MD had inserted many transactions causing the balance be off approximately 72,000! If this is any help, the transactions in the new account seemed to be monthly Social Security payments, which are set up as recurring transactions.
I am a CFO at a Seattle software company and have no idea why the software is behaving as it is. I could really use some assistance.
