Removing a security
Whenever I try to remove a security, I get a message that says the security is in use. Some the securities I try to remove are just created as misspellings and have never been used.

You can use Command ⌘ instead of Control ^ on Mac

Even if there are no transactions in a security it may be "in use" if it is listed as a security in an account. Go to each account and the securities tab and select the security you want to remove, if there are no transactions remove it from that account.
When the security is removed from all accounts you can then delete the security.
