Wrong Credit Card Info

When setting up a credit card account, incorrect information was entered. Now when Moneydance starts up we have an account popup that we can't do anything with, except click cancel.
We'd like to remove this popup.

    Hello,

    It looks like you were setting up a direct connection with this account? Let me know if you were using a different connection method. If so:

    1) Open your bank account register by clicking on it in the left sidebar in Moneydance
    2) Select Online->Setup Online Banking from the menu bar
    3) Click the Disable button. This should disable this connection.

    It doesn’t show up there. The account wasn’t created because I entered BB&T instead of Chase

    What happens if you navigate to Account->Edit Account and change the information entered in the resulting window?

    Then you can select the relevant account from the Sidebar and navigate to Online->Set Up Online Banking and select your preferred connection method.

    That Pop-up doesn’t go anywhere; there isn’t a password for it. It doesn’t show up as an account anywhere. It’s buried somewhere in the Moneydance data, which is where it will need to be removed.

    Hi HUGH

    If you click the + at the bottom of the Side Bar can you see BB&T listed. If so ADD it back into the Side Bar and follow Maddy’s advice.

    BB&T does not show up when I do what you suggested.

    After clicking the + sign, at the bottom of the Sidebar, choose Advanced and scroll through the Available items to see if the BB&T account shows there. If so, add it back to the "Included Items" list and follow the steps in post 4 of this thread.

    Already tried this, “Advanced”.

    Not there.

    The bogus pop-up was an attempt to set up a credit card. It should have had “CHASE” in both places, not BB&T. As a result, there isn’t any account set up in Moneydance and I can’t log into the “account” on that pop-up. I have to click cancel and move on.

    Load toolbox. Online Tools menu.. View installed service profiles... In there you should see the erroneous connection.Then use Delete OFX banking service to nuke that OFX DC connection... Note: It will nuke that connection for all accounts connected to it...

    I think we may have taken care of the problem except I may have to set up a new credit card account. I’ll know for sure when Chase posts a new charge.
