Updated to Moneydance+, now unalble to "download all" and need to download 15 accounts one by one
I have beenusing Moneydance for five years without much difficuloty. Presently I have 4 Chase banking accounts, 8 Chase credit card accounts, and 5 Bank America accounts. Now that those banks no lngeer support Direct Connect, I am using Moneydance+ and it seems to be working. I can download each account individually, but I can't download anything from Bank America nor c=fromj Chase using the "Download All". Is there a way I can indicated that even though I used to use Direct COnnect on those accounts, that I no lonbver do so? Then Moneydance will know I am using Moneydance+ and be able to do them all at once?

Hi jnl,
You should be able to use the "Download All Accounts" option. It sounds like you may have multiple connections listed for some accounts. You should be able to resolve the issue by installing the Toolbox Extension then run the following.
Toolbox Options > Update Mode
Make a backup of your dataset
Then go to Menu Online Banking Tools > Cleanup missing Online Banking Links
Close and reopen Moneydance and try Online > Download All Accounts again.
Hope this helps,
Tony (Fellow Moneydance User)

PS I think that disabling the direct OFX connections prior to setting up Moneydance+ would have prevented this issue.

I'm sorry for the additional responses, but I also wanted to mention to you, just in case you didn't know, that there is a delay in retrieving data from your accounts using MD+. The Aggregator/Plaid downloads the data periodically and readies it for MD+ to download. My MD+ accounts usually download info within a day of posting. Some accounts may take longer. I've read that Chase can take up to 3-4 days.

Update: I am not using Moneydance+ at all. Instead I use browser to open bank or credit card account, then download data to my "Downloads" folder on my Mac, then use the Moneydance "Import" to update the file. SOme of them like BAnk AMerica only allow .XLS format, so I use the toolbox to extract the needed infomration. Has been working fine for months. Also just checked and am using same version 2024.4 build 5253 on both machines, so that isn't the problem.

This is a very mixed story.
When you are using manual downloads from Bank sites you have to download account by account, you have to tell the Internet Banking websites what you want to download, that, on those sites, can only be done account by account as the download is initiated on the bank's side.
The Toolbox extension has no capability of extracting data from XLS files. You would need to have CSV files and either use the Inbuilt importer or the user written CSVImporter extension. Many institutions would reference Excel files but actually download CSV files.
If data is not being imported with QIF or OFX/QFX files check the file to make sure there are transactions in it and that the file is complete.
With CSV files it could be no data or you are potentially specifying the wrong fields during the import.

Hi jnl,
I can see you’ve received a reply from one of our knowledgeable Moneydance customers. To add to this useful information I thought it's worth mentioning that BOA's CSV's can be imported and the best idea is to use the CSV importer extension as you can save the CSV layout into a reader. This is discussed in this public thread.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.
