Investment Report Annual % ROI Calculating wrong
I just ran an Investment Performance report to check the
performance of a day trade I made about a week ago. All
calculations look correct except for the Annual % ROI calculation
which is telling me my Annual ROI is 1601401396.13 when the Return
% was 4.65. Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but that doesn't seem
accurate.
I'm running OS X 10.6.2 - Java 1.6.0_17 and MD 2010 (743).

Hi, could you take a look at this post and see if you think we are both talking about the same thing? I was not able to get numbers as wacky as you got, but mine didn't make sense either. I was using 740 and 741 at the time, but the test cases behave the same with 743.
I posted that about 2 weeks ago. No response from MD staff so I think it is time for me to open a bug report under Trac. Agreed?

LJB,
It definitely looks like we have the same problem. I haven't bought and sold anymore stock this week to confirm multiple cases like you did, but the ROI is doesn't seem to be calculating right.
If you open a bug report, I'll post my stuff to it as well.

Um, trac is being difficult again, won't let me create a new ticket: "TICKET_CREATE privileges are required to perform this operation". Although I've created tickets before. I willl try again tomorrow.

I opened Trac ticket 2679 for the other post and also linked it to your post.

Kevin and LJB,
Thanks for pointing out these ROI issues. I wanted to let you know that I am looking into it and will go over the issue with our programmer and see that it is corrected. I'll get back to you here when I've made some progress with it.
