Quote Loader Extension
The quote loader extension has been working very well for several years.
On Friday Dec 16, it was unable look up any prices in Yahoo.
I updated to the most current version of Quote Loader (3048) and Moneydance (2022.5).
This did not improve the situation.
I changed the Source from Yahoo to FT and about half the stocks (23 of 37) had prices loaded but I could not see any pattern on what loaded and what didn't.
I am in Canada and have stocks that trade on the NYSE and TSX exchanges.
Can you offer and suggestions to resolve this.

There have already been a heap of posts on this issue, basically Yahoo has changed the way the data is being provided, the developer is working on the issue but a fix may take some time.
If you follow the main Quote loader topic you, from about post 260, you will find the current workarounds and in due course any information on a fix will be posted there.

Just to add to dwg post.
The problem is the result of Yahoo changing the way it present data. The Quote Loader developer is looking into the issue but it may take some time to produce a new build.
The best thing to do is change the source from Yahoo to FT. If you still get an error on some securities you may need to select a Exch Mod or in extreme cases use a different Ticker that FT will recognise. If you still have problem I may be able to help. Post the Ticker, full security name, last price and the currency you work in for any securities showing an error. A screen shot of the Quote Loader window after a run so I can see the securities in error will do.

I switched to FT and was able to get most of my securities to download.
Below are the adjustments I made through trial and error that may be of
value to others:
- if your stock ticker has an underscore in it, change the underscore to
a period. ie CHP_UN to CHP.UN
- FT does not seem to treat ETF's like stocks. To get prices for ETF's I
had to do the following;
- look up the symbol on FT - for VOO it was VOO:PCQ:USD
- change the ticker to match the symbol (including colons)
- change the exchange to "Do not use and exchange"
I have 4 remaining ETF's that were not listed in FT. I suspect this is an
omission on FT's part. If you know otherwise, please let me know.

Post the Ticker, full security name, last price and the currency you work in for the four securities showing an error. Alternatively a screen shot of the Quote Loader window after a run so I can see the securities in error will do.

The 3 ETF's of concern are:
Vanguard FTSE Canada Index ETF - Trades on TSX under symbol VCE - price
42.66 CAD
iShares Core MSCI AC World ex Canada Idx ETF - Trades on TSX under symbol
XAW - price 31.32 CAD
iShares Core MSCI Emerging Markets IMI Index ETF - Trades on TSX under
symbol XEC - price 24,70 CAD

I think you are correct I cant see those 3 securities supported by FT when quoted on a Canadian exchange. Sorry.
