Stock Glance extension - buttons not visible and share holding multiplied
I use the Stock Glance extension on my summary page and noticed a couple of issues with the latest version - not noticed previously so think they are recent issues.
Firstly on clicking the Edit can see a couple of buttons by hovering over them but they don't show any description text to say what they are or do - screenshots attached.
Secondly, I have 3 stocks/funds where Stock Glance shows the shareholding as 10x what is should be therefore inflating the value of the holding. The shareholding appears correct everywhere else in Moneydance so not sure what is driving the difference and why only 3 out of a number of stocks. Screenshot attached of one example from Stock Quote and then the same holding if I use Toolbox to search for the stock.

Have you had any success is solving the x10 issue. I have exactly the same problem but only with one fund that I recently added

The 10x problem should have been fixed in the v12 release. Can you try uninstalling the SG extension and then reinstalling it? You should get the v12 release that way. Let me know if it fixes the problem.

Thanks Jim. I uninstalled SG and then reinstalled. It is showing v12 but
the issue is still there although it only affects one stock.

Which stock? Is there something that differentiates it from the other stocks?

Thanks Jim for this speedy response. I have attached a screenshot . The
stock/fund concerned is L&G Global Technology Trust. You can see in the
screenshot that SG shows the holdings as being 42808.2 whereas the under the
edit window for SG you can see that within MD itself the correct stock
holdiings are 4280.82. This problem only has arisen in the last couple of
days when I added the fund to my MD account. I have tried deleting the
stock entirely from MD and reinstalling but that doesn't seem to make any
difference. I can't thing of anything that is particularly different. I
could try adding a different fund to see if the problem appears with that
fund as well.

Hi Jim. I have just added another fund - this time Polar Capital Global
Technology to MD and nominally purchased one share. SG is showing that I
have purchased 10. Could there be something about my MD installation that
is causing this problem. I seem to remember I did a software version update
only last week to the latest version 2023.1 (5006).

Just a bit more information. If I purchase additional stock for funds that
are presently showing the correct stock holdings then when I purchase these
funds the new stock holding continues to be correct. If I purchase
additional stock for funds that are showing incorrectly then the x10 factor
is also applied to any additional funds I purchase.

Just had a look using Toolbox at the decimal settings for all my other
funds/shares. All of them are set at 4 except for the latest two that I
have added using the default decimal setting of 5.
I have just added another fund Liontrust Global Technology Fund, but this
time changed the default decimal setting when adding the fund to MD from 5
to 4. Now when purchasing stock, the correct stock levels are shown in both
core MD and SG. Should I use the Toolbox to change the dpc setting for the
funds I have added which are showing incorrect stock holding to 4.

I suspect that the problem is with the dpc setting. Adding yet another fund
but again using the default decimal setting of 5 creates the x10 issue.
Using a set dpc of 4 the share holding appears correctly.

Yes you can use toolbox to edit the dpc back to 4.
@james will need to review why his fix isn’t working….

That's what I suspected, but I just tried it myself (with the setting of 5), and it worked for me. I'm not sure why it should matter, but I'll have to take a look again and see if I can't see something.

Figured it out. The version on the MD site is the old one that does not work with 5-digit amounts. I've asked Sean to install a new version that has the fix. It will be v14 when it appears in the Extension Manager. Thanks very much for your help in finding this mistake.
