Sharing Moneydance with new computer via WiFi LAN

For some years I've shared the Moneydance application on my laptop with an AllinOne (AIO) computer via my home WiFi LAN. I recently replaced the AIO and downloaded Moneydance to it. The new device does not synch Moneydance. It gives me the option to "Import new account set," but it doesn't specify what file it wants.

I've attached screen shots of (1) Moneydance Default Location on my laptop, (2) Moneydance files-folders in OneDrive on my laptop, and (3) Moneydance files/folders in AIO the OneDrive - renamed to ChrisMichele Personal for no known reason.

What file does it want, and how do I get the into my OneDrive?

Thanks, Chris

Chris, I recently had this issue and figured out that my main user id, where files are stored, was under different user IDs. To get it to work, I ended up exporting a backup of the file, saving it on Dropbox (not in the exact location as syncing files), and then opening the archive/backup.
    Good luck.

    Janis,

Thanks, but what exactly do you mean by "a backup of the file?" What filename(s) exactly? And then you could open Moneydance by clicking on that file rather than the application?

    Thanks again,
    Chris

    Hello Chris,

First take a backup of most recent version of your MD file by choosing
Export Backup under File and place it somewhere that the new computer
    can find it.

Once you install MD on new computer (they need to be on the same version
on both machines). Start MD and select the second option. MD will open
up a browse window where you can point MD to the backup you created.

    Hope this makes it clear.
