Edit Account: Initial Balance - doesn't show up in accounting.
I set up a bank account and put in my initial balance. After downloading transactions, for some reason Moneydance doesn't take into account the initial balance. When I go to Edit Account, the initial balance I put in is still there, but for some reason it's not included in the transactions. How do I fix this?

I'm a fellow user.
The initial balance does not show as a transaction in the register, but the amount should be included in the balances shown in the register.

Yes, the problem is that the initial balance is NOT included in the
balances.

Not something I think that has been seen before.
I would suggest posting a screen shot of your account info window then a screen shot of the first few transactions in the register, sorted by date of course.
Lets see if anything looks out of place.

Try clicking on the small icon to the right of the New transaction button then scroll to the beginning of your transactions and see how it looks.

Moneydance was in split screen mode hence confirmed and unconfirmed transactions were split into separate sections, the running balance makes no real sense in this mode.
