Data from Quicken 2009 not importing properly
I want to got to Ubuntu Linux full time. Hence my interest in Moneydance.
I exported my Quicken 2009 data to a QIF in windows and imported it to Moneydance. Virtually none of my checking deposits appear and so it shows a negative -$17,000 balance instead of a $2,000 balance. What's up with that? Can this be fixed?
Tony

Hi Tony
It is important to carefully follow some quite particular steps when importing QIF files. Here is a link to the FAQ article that describes these steps:
http://help.infinitekind.com/faqs/frequently-asked-questions-2/how-can-i-transfer-my-data-from-quicken-or-money-into-moneydance
If you have followed these steps and are still having trouble, let me know and I shall assist you further.
Sincerely
Ben Spencer

It turns out my Quicken data was severely corrupted, but after spending half a day working on it, I was finally able to get a good QIF backup that I was able to use (no thanks to Quicken support who gave up on it).
Thanks!
Tony
