downloaded and won't open

Was excited to try a new program just downloaded it and when I try to open the exe file it says "app can't run on this computer. To find a version of your pc, check with software publisher"
I'm using Windows 10 pro. What is going on?

What sort of computer is it?
Is it something like a Surface Pro X perhaps? I think we will need to know what sort of processor is in the Machine, i.e. is it Intel 32 bit, Intel 64 bit or it is an ARM processor.
At the moment it sounds like you may have a processor to Moneydance kit mismatch, that is a guess however.

Thank you for the reply. I just kept messing with it included redownloading
it and finally got it to work.
