side bar balance and register balance are different
How do I get my 401k balance on the side bar to equal the register amount?

Hi keith,
A brief lesson in the Register balance and sidebar balances...
In an investment account, the Register (not the Bank Register) balance indicates the value of the cash held in the account. If the account requires a money market fund, then the Register balance should pretty much always show a $0.00 balance as any cash in the account would be used to purchase shares of the requisite money market fund.
The sidebar balance indicates the value of the underlying securities in the account.
(Without getting into the various balance types that can be displayed on the sidebar)
It is therefore not possible for the Register and sidebar balances to be the same.
