Liability transaction list suddenly blank after entering a couple of transactions

I have a liability account for a car loan that has several transactions. I entered a couple more transactions, including a transfer from an asset. Now when I go to see the transactions on the liability, the register is empty. I can go to other accounts and see the transfers into and out of the liability account, but I can't see those or any other transactions on the liability account itself. Confirmed that I'm set to "Showing: All Transactions" at the top of the register.

Don't know the issue, but you can try this:

Go to the other accounts that have transfers into the liability account. Right click on the transaction, pick "show other side" and see if it takes you to the other side of that transaction that you say you can no longer see.

Interestingly, that works, opens all the transactions in a separate window.  How do I get it to work in the main window?

Did you end up with two accounts of the same name? One empty and one with transactions? Tools->accounts to see the list. Rename one of them and see the difference.
