Preferences won't save

I just installed Moneydance 2023.1 and I'm trying to set up check printing. After I set up the checks the way I want them and click OK, none of the settings have been saved. What do I need to do to get them to save?

    Download version 5007 from the preview area. It's a bug fix for this specific issue.
