How to find and load most complete saved data
I have many saved data files. When I open Money Dance it does not open the most complete data file. How can I find the most complete and open it into Money Dance without going through all the data files.

I can find the folder and the saved files, I cannot find the most complete file. It doesn't show the size of the files.

The core file in an Account Set is called "trunk". The date of this file should show when it was last accessed. Depending on the activity size may not be a reliable indication of which is the most complete file.

Hi Patricia,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.
I believe you are a Windows user, So, when you click on Help > Show Document Folder, this will open your default data file location, where all of the data files are located. If you slide the gray tab to the right, in the resulting window, you should be able to see the file size.
Another option is to click on Help > Show Archive Folder, this will open the default backup file location and you can choose to restore a backup.
Finally, if you've set a different location for the automatic backups, choose Moneydance --> Preferences, then select the 'Backups' tab, as outlined in this article of the Knowledge Base.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.
