All my data is gone!
I just upgraded to Sonoma 14.1. I opened Moneydance and it is completely empty! All my data, over all the years I've used this software - is GONE! I don't know what to do.

You might be opening a blank dataset. You need to find where your dataset is, and open that instead.
Another possibility is that your computer is a secondary versus a primary computer, and you are using icloud sync - that's a big issue with Sonoma, and why Moneydance does not claim compatibility with Sonoma (yet).
A third possibility is that during the upgrade, a file got corrupted that pointed to which file you normally open.
So, breathe, and yes, there will need to be some work to find your dataset, or to find a backup in case something really did happen to your dataset.
If you know about the Toolbox extension, there are a lot of tools in there to find where things are. The author, Stuart Beesley, helps people out a lot on situations like this (if you don't know how to use Toolbox), but it's about 1am in Great Britain right now, so you may have to wait a few hours if you need him to help.

Do you remember where you were saving your data? If not, it's likely in the default save location, described at: https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/file-locations-and-changes/de...

Thank you for your assurances! I poked around a bit more and found a correct data file. Is there a way to rename it and save it as the default?

Toolbox extension. General tools. Relocate dataset to internal location.

DONE! I loaded the toolbox extension and followed your instructions and
I've got my data file back where it belongs! Thank you so much for your
help with this.
