MD won't save, ultimately crashing
Big problems. After a couple of hours of reconciling transactions MD gradually slowed to the point I became worried and tried to save the file before continuing working. MD would not save, nor would it "save as." The progress bar would appear, but never indicated any progress, and checking the file location in the Finder showed that no data was saved. I was able to view the Console window but could not copy the text from the window. While transcribing the Console to this posting, MD crashed before I was able to get more than one line transcribed.
This line appeared in the console window:
setStatus (Saving file, 0.0010)
It was followed by text that indicated that there was some sort of
out of memory condition related to Java.
I'm using MD 2010r2 build 735 on Leopard Power PC.
Java version is 1.5.0_22

I am sorry I have not responded sooner. It might be that not enough memory is being allocated to the java virtual machine at startup. we have made a special version that allocates more memory. You can download it from here.

Please uninstall your current version and install the one linked to above.
I am sorry for the trouble this is causing you.
Sincerely
Ben Spencer
