Tab key not working

My tab key does not work and sometimes my spacebar. do you have a fix? Thank You

   Does this happen only in Moneydance or in other applications as well?

   Hi Gary,
   We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.

   In your System Preferences (not Moneydance). Could you navigate to the General section and to Prefer tabs [always] when opening documents. Can you change "always" to never or "in full screen" perhaps?

   Maddy, thank you for helping an old man. Your solution worked. The new Sonoma update is a little different but I was able to find it. thanks for a job well done. Gary

   Maddy. You did it. I was able to go into Safari and found the general section and clicked “never” on the tab section. Thank so so very much. I am nearly 82 and all these changes can be a bit overwhelming. Thanks again. Gary
