Hello
I had to reinstall md b/c my hard drive crashed. The new download does NOT have any categories in the list. How can I get them. I have reinstalled it again just today and still no cats. Help. this will take forever if I have to add them all individually.

    Betsy,

Do you mean that the new download is not showing the categories you set in your old data file, or that you are starting a new data file and need the default set of categories? If it is the second, please be sure that when presented with the initial screen which offers you three options- Create new file, Open existing file, and Import file. Select "Create New File", and select the "Standard Account Set" in the File Type box in the dialogue box with appears. This will give you a set of default categories to begin with.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

When I downloaded the after I got a new hard drive I had to completely re-import all of my banking info. Therefore, I did create a new file and I am sure that I set up the standard account set. I will uninstall and start over if it gets me the categories on the list. I have updated also and still not cats.

I need more help on this and cannot find a telephone number to call. I cannot do my taxes until I get this resolved. Do I need to uninstall this and start all over?

I am afraid we do not offer telephone support.

You should not have to reinstall Moneydance.

If you select Tools->Edit Categories do you see any categories. If not you will need to create a new data file and specify that you want the standard account set.

    Sincerely

    Ben Spencer
