I have been through many iterations of installing and removing Moneydance, Until now, I have been able to get the directory selection dialog but it has taken three consecutive click of the button (where I got error messages - but am not certain it was the same message) I.E. I click the button, get the error, dismiss the error, click the button again. On the third try it would popup the dialog. But now I have tried a dozen times and get this message every time. I suspect there may be a errant configuration setting somewhere that was caused my the repeated re-installs.

Yup. Unfortunately you’ve hit a known Java bug with Windows.

The only thing I can think of is to downgrade MD, then setup the sync, then upgrade again.

    Backup first.

    Hi Randy Kreisel,

I suppose it's somewhat heartening that I'm not the only one experiencing this issue with 5064 and its bundled jre.
