We have a monthly payment, fixed date but variable amount. It is in our reminders to commit 15 days before the payment date, so that the money is committed from the beginning of the month. This has worked well until.....today it refuses to behave. It is still there as a reminder but refuses to commit in the account Any ideas welcome!

    Hello,

Just to be clear, is the reminder never entering into your register when you expect it to, or is it "disappearing" as your subject line suggests?

If it's the former, please go to File -> Preferences from the menu bar, and in the Network tab, ensure that "Auto-commit Reminders" is checked.

If that's not the issue, can you explain your situation in a bit more detail?

Which version and build of Moneydance are you using?
To check, open Moneydance and select Help --> About Moneydance.

If you haven't already, we would recommend upgrading to the latest version of Moneydance from this link.
This is a free upgrade for you!

Lastly, if the Auto-Commit box is not checked when you create your Transaction Reminder, the transaction will not be applied to your register until/unless you manually apply the reminder, as outlined here

I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have further questions or need any assistance.

The option for Auto-commit reminders will only appear on the Network tab if you are syncing between systems, what this option does is not relevant if you have a standalone system.

Thanks for your response.   The version is 2023.3 (5064), recently installed.
I’ve attached below two photos, the first of which shows how several entries are greyed out, including the particular one of 15th March. I don’t understand why others are greyed out which are yet to happen but they have become commitments ok. So why the M&SFS of 15 March? I’ve also attached a photo of the transaction reminder.
Any help would be appreciated .
    Thanks

If today (04/03/2024) is the 'Last date', you could select the check box next to it, then click 'OK' and restart Moneydance.
