Advanced Search fails on "Cleared" status

2023.3 (5064) on Ventura 13.6.4 on Mac Studio M2
Advanced Search does not properly filter on "Cleared" status.
I want to find "Reconciling" AND custom date range with account not specified for (all) Expense category
and returns include numerous items with Cleared status of "Cleared" along with some Reconciling status and Uncleared Status
making this search worthless

Similar wrong result for
"Uncleared" AND date range with account not specified for (all) Expense category
I think you are improperly filtering the "X" vs "x" vs "" "Cleared' values visible in the Transaction Details
Maybe safer to change 'stat:" to "R" for Reconciling so you don't encounter case issues between "X" and "x" depending on OS
I do see the stat change on a transaction when I change it then reopen Transaction Details, so it is changing to one of the three values and does appear or disappear from a filtered list. The problem is the filtered list is letting through undesired status X transactions.

    I agree with Chris. There may be an alternative but why is the report doing this?

    It looks like a bug in the search function. At a guess I suspect the set "Cleared" parameters may not being included in the data search criteria.

    Sean is going to slip a fix for this into the Alpha which is due soon. But, this filter is very finicky so will have to be tested as every change seems to break it.

    Thanks all. I might sign on for beta, but I don’t have the time for alpha testing these days. So keep me posted.
