Lost Key
I received a notice that an update was available. I accepted the update and clicked on the upgrade existing Moneydance software. The system implemented the upgrade. Normally that is all that is required to be able to use the updated program. This time, it insisted I enter my "registration code". I entered it and it was rejected. I tried using my email address to have the code sent to me, but received the response that it wasn't on file.
My old email address was: [email blocked].
I purchased Moneydance on 01/20/2022, payment via PayPal. The code sent to me was: P67843597-F7863D00
I have attached the acknowledgement from Infinite Kind and the license information (snapshot) with the license number.

First, this is a public forum - edit your message to remove the license code.
Whoops - you can't remove a file. So edit the message anyway.
Maddy or other Customer support - can you remove the picture?
Ok, to your subject - there was a bug in 2024(5117) that allowed a 2022 license to upgrade without a fee. A 2022 license is good for any 2022 version and also allows one free year (2023 in this case) of free upgrading.
This bug was fixed in 2024.1(5118) - so you were thrown in demo mode and your 2022 license was no longer recognized.
Two options:
You are never required to upgrade. You can go to:
https://infinitekind.com/previous-versions-of-moneydance
and move to your previous version (assumed 2023.3(5064) but I don't know)
Or you can hit the Upgrade button in the demo version, pay a small fee (it's really not that expensive), and get a new license code that will then work for 2024 AND 2025.

Thanks for the quick response. I upgraded for a very reasonable fee.
Is there any way that you can delete my entire message including the attachments? When I created it, I didn't realize it was a public forum; was under the impression I was communicating privately with Infinite Kind support only. I searched but was unable to locate in the forum the message I generated under the topic "Most recent upgrade won't accept my license number".

If I recall correctly if you are a registered user you should be able to go to the forum, login and mark the thread as private.
