Upgrade says it is free, but your website says I have to pay
I have a licence for Moneydance - P26462416-D1EE2ABF. When I started Moneydance today it said I am eligible for a free upgrade to the latest version - see screenshot attached. When I entered my licence key in the upgrade page it said I have to pay.

I'm a fellow user.
Some users with a Moneydance 2022 license can use 2024.0 but not 2024.1
The problem is that the initial release of Moneydance 2024 in some cases accepted license keys purchased for 2022 as a free upgrade when it should not have. This has been corrected for Moneydance 2024.1, but the updater will not say that it is a paid for upgrade because the updater thinks the software already has a valid 2024 license for people who have only purchased 2022. The updater cannot be changed to recognize this as the problem is in Moneydance 2024.0 itself.
The Moneydance upgrade policy is that purchasing a license entitles you to use that version of Moneydance plus a free upgrade to the next major release.
Moneydance versions 2022, 2023 and 2024 are all considered major versions.
You have a number of choices:
1. You can downgrade to the version you were previously on. There have not been any data format changes in the latest release.
2. You can upgrade to the latest release at a discount https://infinitekind.com/update
This oversight has just been an unfortunate error. Your entitlements remain as they have been for many years.
