Updated to new version New update says its a demo version
Today, when I had finished updating my personal finances and was ready to log off Moneydance, I saw the notice that my version was due for an update and that the download was available without cost. However, after I have updated my software and open the program again, I see that it's a demo version. What??!!! Please send instructions so I can again access my paid version, updated.

In reference to my previous request for help, My License key is
When I just checked, Infinitekind says the update is available for $25, but the original update message said nothing about a discounted update, but that my copy was open to a free update.

I'm a fellow user.
Some users with a Moneydance 2022 license can use 2024.0 but not 2024.1
The problem is that the initial release of Moneydance 2024 in some cases accepted license keys purchased for 2022 as a free upgrade when it should not have. This has been corrected for Moneydance 2024.1, but the updater will not say that it is a paid for upgrade because the updater thinks the software already has a valid 2024 license for people who have only purchased 2022. The updater cannot be changed to recognize this as the problem is in Moneydance 2024.0 itself.
The Moneydance upgrade policy is that purchasing a license entitles you to use that version of Moneydance plus a free upgrade to the next major release.
Moneydance versions 2022, 2023 and 2024 are all considered major versions.
You have a number of choices:
1. You can downgrade to the version you were previously on. There have not been any data format changes in the latest release.
2. You can upgrade to the latest release at a discount https://infinitekind.com/update
This oversight has just been an unfortunate error. Your entitlements remain as they have been for many years.
Unfortunately these glitches happen at times.

I would suggest you edit/delete your license code in an earlier post as these are public forums.

The license history only works for licenses issued by IK itself. When they transferred the sale of licenses to Paddle they no longer can send you a license history.
The latest build corrected some code for determining the license validity:
