Reports not generating on Mac - Moneydance V2024.1 (5118)
Noe of my standard reports or graphs are working. When I click upon them I get a "Generating..." message and nothing else. The report never displays

There is a known bug, for any of the investment stuff dealing with a stock split that occurred with Apple. If you have any Apple stock in your portfolio, this is the likely cause. The issue should be fixed in the .2 release of MD 2024, I've been told.

FYI - there is now an Alpha available (that fixes this endless loop issue with Apple / split stocks). WARNING. This is an Alpha - so pre-preview… BACKUP first and only use on test data.. If you don't want to test, then wait for the stable code version.....

I will take a look at this on the weekend.
I do have Apple stock, but should I expect this error even if I only select my accounts that do not have Apple?

This issue can occur with any securities that have a split and where buy/sell cross the split date....

Does anyone know when we can expect a production release of 2024.2? I have tested the Preview release and see that this particular issue has been fixed, however, I am not willing to use a preview release for more than off-stream testing.

Off stream testing is the way to go.
Sean is really trying to get to the next preview, and wants to follow it "almost immediately" with a production version.
But that's been the status for about a week, and he (and others) keep finding "just one more thing to fix" (mostly in reports and screen display).

MD is close enough that even with "off stream testing" (which I always do in a sandbox), the current versions are basically production worthy, but with continued bug fixes being made, which is why it is still not released.
So, when can you expect a production release - I guess "soon" is the best I can answer as only a user and tester.

Issues are still being found, but they are down to more of a trickle, we have just gone to build 5164 in the alpha stream.

And given the alpha stream has recently become preview "ready", 5164+ "should" cascade to preview and production fairly quickly - but of course I said that in late June, didn't I?

Personal opinion: (YMMV)
I use preview 5146 on my live data, and I don't tend to do such unless I trust it.
I've been using it for some time in that mode.
And I am a definite tester on alpha versions (on test data of course) as of 5164...
