Feature requests: auto downloading, budget rollover, etc
Hello,
I'd like to add my vote to some previous requests for features. These include budget rollover (for individual categories) and (not so important for me) locks/warnings when working from one location and the other location is being updated. I would really appreciate an answer if the rollover will be implemented any time soon, it would save the effort of creating workarounds.
Another feature I'd like to request I called "auto downloading" but here is a functionality/ usecase description: I use my home laptop (2011r2, build 803, WinXP) plus Handy Bank on two Android phones (dropbox sync). I travel a lot and take only my work laptop. What I would like to happen is at home my accounts to be downloaded daily or at some frequency, and I can monitor the budget and accounts via HandyBank. An alternative would be for me to be able to prompt the download from HandyBank, but I see more problems with that, one of which being that the feature would need to be implemented on both sides.
Another somewhat related bit of help would be to be able to log in only once per bank. Currently I have several accounts at the same bank, and although I created an overall account for the bank and made the individual ones children, I am still asked to provide the password individually for each account. I don't know if this is already possible and I have a wrong configuration, but nothing so far worked.

Hi ipuic4144,
So as to avoid having to enter all of your usernames and passwords for each of your accounts you only need to encrypt the file and tell Moneydance to 'Store Online Passwords in File'
Go to File > Encryption. Fill in the particulars of the resulting form.
You may or may not be asked one more time for your usernames and passwords but that should do it.

Thank you Kevin. That certainly took care of my last issue.
When possible, I would appreciate some feedback on the proposed features. As noted, the first ones have been adressed by others as well. Any words about "wait time"? :)
On the repeated/auto downloading, I have not seen any previous requests, nor any workarounds - not sure if I just missed them. Some input would be greatly appreciated.

Kevin is a great help on these forums but is not an employee of Moneydance and is not informed on any of our development timeframes. I got back to you on a duplicate posting you made about these other issues.
