Reports are sorted by date, which is not useful to me. For personal evaluation of expenses and donation, and for tax reporting, I need reports sorted by Payee (description).

    Hi Arthur

The transactions report allows you to subtotal by Payee. Attached is a screen shot showing the settings to select.

    Dear Ben,

Thank you very much. This would be better if it worked across all
accounts, but your suggestion will suffice since I find I can specify
Charity:Cash (instead of an account) and then the Transaction report
    actually does cross over accounts.

Perhaps what I specifically want (sorting by Description in any report)
will be in a future release but, again, this is good for now.

In the TRANSACTIONS report, and others, you might someday have a choice
    of "All Accounts", also.

I appreciate your answering so promptly. It makes using Moneydance a
much more comfortable choice knowing someone at Moneydance is listening.

    Hi Arthur,

Thanks for the suggestions and feedback. There are a number of improvements to the reporting system coming in the next release of Moneydance which should be out before the end of the year. It will be a free upgrade to people who bought MD2008.

    Sincerely

    Ben Spencer
