Default year in new year
Hi - Is there a way to change the default for the year in the early part of the new year? Usually when I enter a new transaction I enter the month and day and hit tab to advance out of the date field. This works great 11 months out of the year, but I end up putting a lot of transactions a year in the future in early january. For example, I'm entering transactions for the last few weeks today and anything I enter for december ends up going to 2018 (e.g. 12/27/2018). I'd really like to be able to set a preference to use the previous year whenever the default year would be, for example, more than 2 months in the future. Or it could pick the closest date (12/27/17 much closer than 12/27/18). Is this currently possible?

I agree. This is also relevant to a previous post of mine regarding the lack of adequate alerts to prevent erroneous transactions being made. In your case, an alert for any transaction that is dated x months before today would have prevented such transactions being lost in the past, which take time to find sometimes and could make reports inaccurate if the error isn't spotted.
I argued that similar alert should be given to prevent amounts of £0.00 being entered. Many ex users of Quicken, where the Enter key was used to move to the next field and not to commit the transaction, probably do this many times. I do, and I haven't used Quiken for over a year!
