Merged Transactions
Hello. Took the plunge and as of 1/1, sent Quicken to the archive disk.
Regarding the Merge function, I have a hard time believing that you are suggesting transactions to merge with that are ALREADY CLEARED! How can this be allowed? I have already had several instances where duplicate amounts cause a merge with an already cleared transaction that screws up my balance.
And then, to figure out which transaction has disappeared into the black hole of the merge can be daunting, if not impossible. The time constraint found on the Network options page is nice, but useless, if the cleared transaction is within the time frame you allow.
So maybe I do not understand the thought process behind allowing an already cleared transaction to be used a second time...please advise.
