I like your idea to make 'Today' more predominant on the Calendar.

Just as an FYI, if you're using MD 2017, you can change the color of the yellow boarder currently surrounding 2/17. I made mine red.

To do so, go to File > Preferences > General tab.
Click the 'Customize' button for the 'Theme' setting.
In the resulting set of color options, scroll down and click on 'futureTxnIndicator'.
Change it to the desired color.

Granted, it's not as good as making 'Today' as obvious as it should be but I think anything is better than yellow. :)

Besides changing the color of the border of 'Today' in the calendar, 'futureTxnIndicator' also changes the color of the indicator for future transactions in your registers.

Changing the color of the border to something more contrasting is a pretty good compromise until more control of the theme customization becomes available.

I did go through the theme customization options before submitting the request, but I missed the option to change the color of today's border. Admittedly, 'futureTxnIndicator' isn't the most intuitive title for this setting. Maybe more descriptive titles for the theme variables might be another good suggestion. :-)

Thanks again!

brian
