Moneydance for iOS

I have been using Moneydance for several years now, and I have been pleased and satisfied with its improvements over this time. However, my computer is aging and I am considering switching to an iPad Pro instead of a new computer. The main consideration holding me back is that the iOS version of Moneydance is so lightweight. I would not be able to do my regular analyses, for example, with the iOS version.

My question is this: do you have any plans to develop a full-featured iOS version of Moneydance? If you do, I might be able to wait to make my switch. I would hate to turn to some other software, mostly because I have yet to see anything that meets my needs as well as Moneydance does.

Thanks.

    Hi Mary,

Currently the Moneydance mobile app is only an add on to the main desktop application. We do have plans to do have a full version for iOS and Android, however it will still be a little while and I'm afraid I cannot supply a timeframe for this. We have already setup the syncing infrastructure for it, but an app like Moneydance is large enough that there are a lot of details to work out still. There's an existing ticket in our ticketing system regarding this, so I've attached it to this discussion and the developers will be looking into it.

Please let us know if I can be of further assistance.

Thank you, Ian. I suspected that your answer might fall along these
lines. Well, I'm not yet fully committed to switching from computer to
iPad, so I'll keep this information in mind. Staying with Moneydance
would certainly make my financial life easier.

Keep up the good work. ~Mary
