Please Move Saving Goals up on the "To Do" lost. and I would jump on MoneyDance. Also, if you need a tester on implementing Saving Goals, i would be glad to help.

    Hi diverjerry,

I'm the developer of a Moneydance extension called Money Foresight.

I first started thinking about adding a Savings Goal feature to Money Foresight a couple of years ago but I didn't follow through with it. There seems to be a bit more interest in it lately.

If you would be interested in helping me understand what users are looking for in terms of a purpose-built Savings Goal feature I would love to hear from you. Please contact me at support at moneyforesight dotcom.

    Regards,
    Kevin

It’s easy to do saving goals in MD. Create a sub account under your bank account (called saving for...). Then create a new asset acct called savings and under that sub accts for each saving goal (eg saving for car). Then create transactions in the bank sub acct that transfers money from the sub bank account to the relevant asset saving account. This ‘hides’ the money from your bank account but allows you to reconcile the bank account normally. It ends up being just like the goals in quicken.
