Create (suggest) payment after reconciling credit card account
Sorry, but yet another Quicken suggestion.
After reconciling, if there is an outstanding balance, the software asks if you want to pay the balance. This is nice, both because you are reminded to pay the card, and because it creates the entry for you, rather than having to switch over to another account and enter a transaction.
Also, it saves the last payment account for each card, so if the Mastercard was paid by the Business Checking account last time, the dialog remembers that (though it can be changed, and that value remembered for the next time), and if the Visa is paid by the Personal Checking account last time, the same is true for that account, and so on.
If memory serves, it defaults to the entire balance due (which can of course be edited while entering the transaction).
I am sure there are people who don't want to do this, so perhaps a preference would be needed to turn this behavior on and off, but it is a great time saver - and helps to make sure that you don't forget to pay the bill, for those who don't have autopay or reminders turned on.
