Categories Hidden on Desktop Should be Hidden on Mobile App
Hi,
I'm using MD on desktop (Windows 10) and mobile (Android). I have hidden various Categories in Moneydance, but in the Android app it always shows all Categories, including hidden Categories, whenever I am viewing the dropdown list for Categorizing a transaction. It would be helpful if the mobile apps would honor the "hidden" attribute and not display hidden Categories.
Thanks!
:)

just a user,
Unfortunately I think you have to mark the accounts as "inactive" to keep them from appearing on the mobile app. I think they plan to update the mobile app in the near future to address several issues like that.

Thanks for the reply, @mhoggie!
"Inactive" is the word I should have used above (instead of "hidden"). But unfortunately, "inactive" accounts and "inactive" categories both display in the dropdown used when assigning a transaction to an account or category in the mobile app (on Android).
I've seen mention in other posts that they plan to release full Android and iOS apps in the future, but no idea of when that might be. I'd really like some robust budget support in the mobile app someday. It's one of the things I really miss from my Palm device UltraSoft Money app (http://www.ultrasoft.com/moneydetails) from years ago -- it had great budget support which was super-useful when making purchasing decisions while out shopping (and trying to stay within budget).

I think I have read someone complaining about that before. Strangely on my IOS mobile app, the inactive accounts don't appear on the account listing, nor on the dropdown when you enter a category for a new transaction. So maybe that is an Android version issue

That sounds entirely plausible, it being specific to the Android app. Sometimes little things like this get missed when coding something for a different platform.
