I prefer a dark, high contrast look. I took the Solarized Dark selection and customized by making the backgrounds darker and the foreground text bright green, with the register text to bright yellow.

However, after changing the text to bright green (left side bar and the summary area), the main menu bar text (Files, Edit, View, etc) are now a bright green and with the "forced" Win 10 white background it is hard to read.

I'm planing on installing MD on my Linux laptop in the future to see if it is the same on it.

Would it be possible to have a separate foreground and background text colors for the main menu to prevent this in your next update?

Thanks.

    just a user,

Your best bet is to go to file preferences and set up a custom set of colors for foreground and background.

That's what I did, see initial post. The issue is that the custom text color that I choose for the left side area, as shown in image, also changes the Main Menu bar text of the application.

I'm asking for a separate color selection for the Main Menu bar text and it's sub-menus.
