I use very strong passwords on all my accounts. It is inconvenient to have to look up, copy and paste a password every time a download is executed. I think this should be a priority.

    I'm a fellow user.

If you select to have a master password and check the box to store online passwords Moneydance will store your online passwords in the Moneydance data set.

Will the program autofill the passwords when downloading then?

Moneydance has traditionally supported the use of Direct Connect. Direct Connect is an open system but requires your bank to have a server system that provides this support. Information is exchanged programmatically between your bank and your computer using this system and the software handles the username/password exchange as part of this.

The list of Institution known to support Direct Connect can be found at:

To support institutions that do not support Direct Connect TIK have started implementing a solution in Moneydance 2019 that is hoped to eventually support the automated download of transactions via the Bank's Internet Banking websites with the help of scripts. This is solution is very much in the Alpha stage at this time.
